Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM)
Adult Leadership Requirements
Per our agreement with our Chartered Organization, the Knights of Columbus in conjunction with SJN, all adult leaders serving in the capacity of Scoutmaster, Assistance Scoutmaster, Troop Committee Member and Merit Badge Counselor are required to obtain and maintain their Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) certification through the Diocese of Austin.
To complete this requirement you must first be registered with the Austin Diocese. Registration includes a background verification and commitment to uphold the EIM standards at all times while engaged with our Troop. This link will take you to the Austin Diocese where you can register. https://austindiocese.org/eim-compliance
Once registered our troop needs your valid EIM certificate on file. If you need to complete this course, or if you are unsure if your certificate is still valid, please register and take the EIM online course. The online course will be valid for only one year. EIM certificates earned from in-person sessions are valid for three years. This link will take you to the EIM workshop registration. https://austindiocese.org/workshop
To obtain your certificate, visit the Austin Diocese and log into your account. Here's the link: https://www.eappsdb.com/Login.asp?ORGZ_KEY=4
Once you enter your User ID and password, you will see your detailed application overview. In the left column, under your address, click "Print Compliance Verification". This is the certificate needed.
Please email it to advancement@troop990.org.
Thank you.
